Upcoming Wedding Trends to Look Forward to in 2020
Every year, couples have to face upcoming wedding trends that may have not been popular when they first got engaged. The wedding industry changes so rapidly in colors, styles, and themes throughout the year, it’s hard to keep up. While there are some couples who can pull off getting engaged and married all within a three-month span; most couples find themselves having a 12-18 month engagement on average. A lot of things can change in that amount of time! We’re here to help you by letting you in on the elusive predicted trends coming for 2020:
Greenery
We’re so excited that greenery is here to stay! Earthy, simple vibes are the way to go in the upcoming year. Greenery is a staple here at the Barley House. We love the simplicity as well as the sustainability. Greenery is an awesome way to keep costs low as well as reduce your carbon footprint!
Pop Up and Micro Weddings
Smaller, intimate ceremonies are all the rage in this new season. A family and close friends guest list, have become increasingly popular. These weddings tend to be more cost effective, although, couples tend to splurge on themselves and their guests to create a very elaborate but private celebration.
Meal Inclusive
The past few years have been filled with increased awareness on healthier lifestyles, social responsibility, and consumer awareness. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan diets are all increasing in popularity but so are caterers willing to help you and your guests out for no additional cost. You read that right, the majority of caterers in Springfield now offer specialty meals for your guests.
Hair Accessories
Veils are here to stay but hair jewelry and barrettes are now being added in the mix! We have had several stunning brides in the last few months of 2019 who have shown off this new trend early! These hair accessories are a modern take on the classic tiara. After the ceremony when the veil comes off, brides can still rely on their barrettes or hair jewelry to keep their hair looking amazing all throughout the reception.
Lighting is Everything
String lighting is going to be big for 2020 weddings. Couples enjoy customizing the lighting in their venue to set the vibe they are going for. Neon or fairy lights are coming into the mix as well. Whether its fairy lights along the head table or a neon menu sign at the bar, all the lighting is in this coming season.
Keep these pending trends in mind when planning your perfect day! Part two coming soon.
